Insights OnlineDear Members of The Institutes CPCU Society, As we move through 2024, I am filled with immense excitement and gratitude to lead as your president and chair. This journey, which started with my first role as a volunteer leader, has been one of service, learning, and growth, culminating in this important opportunity to serve you all. This year is pivotal for us. We are developing a new strategic plan to guide us beyond 2025, building upon our current successes. My vision is to continue our trajectory of growth, emphasizing membership engagement and maximizing the benefits we offer. Diversity and inclusivity are at the heart of our mission. We thrive on diverse ideas and voices, and I am committed to fostering a culture that celebrates and integrates these differences. I believe that if each one of us leverages our unique superpowers, contributing as much as our time, energy, and passions permit, we can achieve remarkable things together. The principle I hold dear is that when everyone contributes a little, no one has to do a lot. Internationally, our Society is poised for significant growth. We recognize that our members and chapters worldwide have unique needs, and we are dedicated to tailoring our benefits to meet these diverse requirements. Our recent work with members in Ghana exemplifies this collaborative and adaptive approach. As the first Black woman to serve in this role, I am acutely aware of the powerful message that my appointment sends across our industry. My hope is to empower every individual who has ever felt marginalized, showing that there are boundless opportunities within the CPCU Society and, by extension, the risk management and insurance industry. I am inspired daily by the power of possibility and the impact we can each have in making a difference. Together, let’s continue to make 2024 a year of collaboration, growth, and impactful contributions, harnessing our collective strengths for the greater good.
