In addition, by incorporating stories and insights from his more than 40 years of experience in creating effective teams and innovative processes for underwriting and pricing, he became a first-time book author in August 2023, with the release of Born2Lead: Lessons in Leadership. Koscielny previously served as president of the CPCU Society Leadership Council and of the Underwriting Executives Council, as well as in numerous other roles for the CPCU Society. Traci Adedeji, CPCU, ARM, API, AIDA, TRIP, is a vice president at JP West, Inc., where she heads the firm’s personal and small commercial lines insurance operations. She is also the 2024 president of the CPCU Society Leadership Council. Abi Potter Clough, MBA, CPCU, is the founder and CEO of AbiLeads, LLC, and author of Life After Leaping In and Top 10 Lists for Relocation, as well as a thought leader, consultant, and keynote speaker. She also writes about change, insurance, risk, and leadership for Risk & Insurance magazine and several top insurtechs, insurers, and brokers. Potter Clough previously served in claims operations for a major U.S. carrier. Darcy Andrews, CPCU, CRM, CIC, AFIS, AIAF, ARC, ARe, AU, AINS, is a senior underwriter for Liberty Mutual. She is also pursuing a doctorate in education, concentrated on positive organizational leadership, at Abilene Christian University; specifically, her studies focus on how organizations can develop a more inclusive and engaged workplace by creating a sense of value and belonging for everyone. Tredessa Travers, MBA, CPCU, AIC, is a senior garage adjuster at Atlantic Casualty Insurance Company. During her nearly 20 years in the industry, she has worked in several claims departments and handled various types of claims. She is on the board of the Richmond CPCU Society Chapter and serves as a member of the CPCU Society’s Interest Group Roadshow, Claims Interest Group, and Publications Committee, as well as of the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators. Heather Blevins, CPCU, AIC, AIS, AINS, SCLA, ITP, is a senior project coordinator with State Farm. In addition, she is an instructional assistant professor at Illinois State University, vice president of marketing for the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators, and vice chair of The Institutes CPCU Society Publications Committee. BY BEN DAEE AND SADEGH KHOSRAVIAs the United States and other countries increasingly turn to solar power as an energy source, insurers are encountering more questions about solar panel coverage. Solar panels can be mounted to either the ground or roof of a building.
